It's the end, the end of the seventies; it's the end, the end of the century...

Due to popular demand... (Mostly by Kara herself. :P.)

The Kara video! (Tell me if these links work. I think they should, but I'm not 100% certain.)

'Email' version (2ish MB)
'Web' version (4.something MB)

Note: Both are at what I publicly admit to be terrible quality - though the Email version's worse. I also have no skill with video editing. If anyone actually has some talent with editing software, and wishes to try for themselves, I'm more than willing to give them the source files to play with. This was an exercise in procrastination, anyway.

PS: The website makes you wait 45 second after loading the page before it'll let you download the file. I don't know why - presumably a bandwidth issue, or something - but it's free, and it uploads up to 250 MB without complaint, so I ain't arguing.

It's a pretty good tribute, shame abotu the quality, although the pictures were a bit sudden.... Maybe some nice music? I dunno, i suck at editing too. Good job :)

Lol. I have no idea how to use iMovie. It kept doing strange things to me as I tried to put in transitions (to reduce the 'sudden'ness of the images), till I said "Stuffit" and left it how it was.

"Destroy Carthage". She was being somebody specific, but I can't remember who for the life of me. Cato, maybe. I'm sure she'd be more than willing to tell you in great detail.

Indeed i will.

Cato the Elder. He was a prominent senator of Rome in the second century BC. After Rome was engaged in a devastating war with the empire of Carthage (where the general Hannibal rampaged Italy and threatened Rome's very existance) he launched a campaign of violent verbal assaults on Carthage, trying to gather up support for another war against that villianous bastardly city that had dared cross Rome and this time Carthage should be absolutely pulverised, flattened and then have the earth salted so that nothing could ever grow on the site again.
(He really hated Carthage in case you couldn't tell)
He hated it so much that when debating in the senate he would end every speech, not matter what the topic (it could have been about cows grazing in open fields and why keeping them happy would produce good milk) with the words

In conclusion I believe that Carthage must be destroyed

Hilarious

What is this "celco" or something thing? It says it's connecting to it and then gets an error.

Hrm. I haven't seen the error you're complaining of. When does it occur?

It's when Media Player opens and it says it's connecting to something, then it brings up a messagey type box thingo that says "this file is evil! EEEVVVIIILLL!!!"
Which, I suppose is somewhat true.

I think the word might be "Codec". It's basically a file that tells a program how to play a sound/video file.

You need a Quicktime codec to play the video; the easiest way is to download the Quicktime player. (I believe the address is http://www.apple.com/quicktime , but I may be wrong.) I can give it to you on disc sometime, if you get desperate.
